TOURNAMENT SUMMARY
14 Pink played our last tournament for Regional’s at the Capital Sports Center in Sacramento, CA. We finished seeded 25th in Silver (started at 48), with 5 wins and 1 loss. We went undefeated on Sunday, and truly ended the season playing at their top level. There were so many moments (from service runs and jump serves to big swings and blocks) that literally had coaches jumping for joy on the sidelines!
Coaches are beyond proud of this team for all they have accomplished this season. Every individual improved tremendously this season and coaches are hopeful that each player continues her volleyball career! Thank you parents for a great and supportive season—the girls and coaches wouldn’t have made it this far without you!
OFFENSE—THINGS TO CELEBRATE!
Serving
- The team averaged a 30% ace percentage!
- Cami and Claire led the team in aces.
- Serving runs! Claire, Kayla S., Selina and Mya all had multiple serving runs throughout the tournament.
- A few players attempted jump serving in a few games. Kayla S. even got an ace!
- Meeting goals: Going in to the tournament we had a team goal of serving 80%, and we surpassed this goal, serving as a team at 87%!
Hitting
- The team averaged a 31% kill percentage, with 213 Hitting Attempts!
- Claire, Lilly and Kayla S. led the team in kills.
DEFENSE—THINGS TO CELEBRATE!
Receive
- Lilly and Sophia had the highest passing scores this tournament, 2.19 and 2.13!
Digging
- Lilly, Claire and Selina led the team in most digs.
- Reading the offense! Players did great knowing when to be in each defense, based on which type of attack was being sent over.
Blocking
- Kayla S. led the team with 6 solo blocks!
