About

I was first introduced to volleyball my senior year in high school from a friend who was playing competitively at that time.  

From that first introduction, it was clear to me that volleyball was MY sport and I just could not get enough of it.  

In my first two years at Sac State, I would sneak into the men’s club practices as much as possible to try and learn the game.  

I still can’t believe they let me practice with them when I would show up . . .  but so grateful they did!  

I then starting playing outdoor grass doubles, playing on competitive men’s indoor teams, playing on competitive co-ed indoor teams, etc and grew to really enjoy the sport. 

I got into the world of coaching volleyball officially in 2010 when my twins boys wanted to start playing.  

The volleyball program I started the twins in had a practice where a few of the coaches were missing because of being sick.  

One of the other coaches noticed I was always there and asked if I would be willing to jump in.  The next thing I know, I was being asked to join the coaching staff and I gladly accepted.  That was when I found out that I REALLY enjoy coaching volleyball and have a passion for the game both as a competitor and as a coach.  

I pride myself on teaching technique and making players better.

More importantly, I like to be infections about my passion for the game to pass that down to younger generations.
