Philosophy

Aspire Volleyball Club is dedicated to providing their athletes with the technicalstrategicphysical and mental training needed to reach their highest potential as a junior volleyball player.

The players who participate in our program will learn teamworkself-disciplinegoal setting, personal responsibility, the setting of high standards and the excitement of individual and team achievements. Aspire Volleyball Club teaches volleyball players more than just volleyball. We believe in teaching values, which are fundamental to our athletes on the court, in the classroom and throughout life. The core of our training is 100% effort + persistent belief = success.

Effort+Attitude = Success

Social, carefree fun happens spontaneously in the context of a cohesive group bound together by working hard towards a common goal. Consistent with this, we focus on providing the structure where a team can feel proud of its efforts. The fun we seek is in the deep satisfaction of knowing that you have given 100% effort, whether or not you win.

We hope to provide players of every caliber with an opportunity to play volleyball.  In life and sports, "what you put in, is what you get out" and we try to teach our players how to create real results by having a great attitude, giving 100%, and being a team player. The most rewarding aspect of being a coach is the opportunity to have a positive influence on a young athlete’s life. Along with athletic skills we certainly teach ethics and positive values that instill self confidence and success in our players on and off the court.

CLUB WIDE TRAINING SYSTEM

Players will experience the same principles, keys, and concepts at all ages.  While there are definitely differences coach to coach, and between age divisions, the way we teach volleyball is the same for all teams.  The curriculum for our program is derived from the Gold Medal Squared Coaching philosophies and is led by the Club Director, Cinnamon DaSilva and Assistant Director, David Faz.

The Directors are actively involved in practices, whether it's working with the coaches or directly with the players.  No coach is alone at Aspire.  Not only does each team have a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach, each team has the combined experience of every coach on our staff to benefit them throughout the season.

To further develop the growth of our players we provide ample hours of training for our coaches, both on and off the court. Another part of our coaches educational training comes from online webinars, in person training with the Club Head Coach, as well as attending coaching seminars.
