It all began in 2008. At the time, I, Cinnamon was coaching the Varsity team and in charge of the girls program at Folsom High School where I had been coaching since 2001. The players at the school begged for the opportunity to start a club in Folsom. So in October of 2008, a few months after our daughter Hannah was born, a new business was founded. Folsom Volleyball Club was our founding name with 5 girls teams. Amazed we had 5 teams in our first year with just a month to prepare before tryouts. But that small club would not last longe.

After the first year we doubled in size, then tripled! We grew to serve more than just the Folsom athletes, and so our name changed to Aspire Volleyball Club in 2014/15 season.  

In 2014/15, we had our first "boys" team which was a coed u14 and u16 girls team. In 2016 we began offering boys power teams. In 2019, we won our first bid to a nationals with our U17 Titans, coached by Cinnamon and Jarod. A very special team and very exciting achievement.

In 2020, during the pandemic of Covid-19 we build our own sand facility in Rescue. Ron and Clover Smith, the parents of Cinnamon are now part of the Aspire family as they home host for our Beach tournaments and practices.

In 2020, we now have 12 girls teams, 5 boys teams,  with hundreds of kids in our camps and clinics. Our beach program consists on 80 plus kids and now we host tournaments open to everyone.
