Melanie Skinner is a middle blocker and right side hitter who led her teams in blocking including reaching the 8th ranked blocker in the nation for NAIA.
During her high school years, she had the privilege of playing Club on a top level team coached under Ron Larsen, who later became a part of Gold Medal Squared and is currently an Assistant
Coach for the USA Men's team.
She was offered several scholarships and chose to play her four years of collegiate volleyball at Biola University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.
During her 15 years of coaching, she attended 4 Gold Medal Squared Coaching clinics.
She has also worked with and had the opportunity to train under Patrick Gallagher at Pure Athletics, the top speed and agility Athletic Trainer in the Greater Sacramento Area, furthering her knowledge and methods of properly developing successful athletes.
She coached the Sacramento State Women's Volleyball Club team in 2015 &2016 where she was honored with the Coach of the Year award in 2015.
She has a sincere passion for the game of volleyball and for the well being of her athletes. CPR and First Aid certified. She is the mother of two amazing children.
She is currently Physical Education and Health teacher.
