Welcome to the 2018-2019 NCVA Girls Volleyball season. The NCVA Housing staff (Kylie and Evan) want to take a moment to update you on some new housing policies and features coming into effect this season. There is plenty to cover so after reading through the information in this email, please reach out to us with any questions.

Stay to Play

  • Starting this season, all NCVA Girls’ National Qualifiers will be a Stay to Play Event.
    • Stay to Play means all nonlocal teams attending the tournament are required to book reservations through the NCVA Hotel Portal and stay at NCVA hotel blocks.
    • Local teams are defined by living within a 25-mile distance from the venue to the home or club address.
    • To file an exemption or to review a list of possible exemptions, please visit www.ncva.com/stpexempt.
  • We hope this change will increase the likelihood of teams staying together in the same hotel to help player morale.
  • Going Stay to Play also helps us by securing better rates with hotels, acquiring new hotels, and providing more non-casino/non-smoking hotels.
  • More details will be posted online at www.ncva.com/staytoplay

Aspire Hotel Reservation Instructions

Each team is responsible for booking their own hotels. We suggest one parent be the TRAVEL COORDINATOR and look into hotel options and decide where the team will stay and then relay that information to the team.

If you are the TRAVEL COORDINATOR for your team and have questions about Stay and Play or setting up group blocks you can contact the club volunteer Kim Natusch at kimnatusch@yahoo.com.

Please be sure to copy aspirevolleyballclub@gmail.com on the room block information so Cinnamon can book a room for the coaches.
