On the 27th of January our 13's team went to Edison High School for the premier league qualifier. It had been just one week since Cal Kickoff so we used our one practice in between to work on ball control, serving, and serve receive. 

We started out the day in the 50th seed and ended undefeated and seeded 11th! We had 3 fun games in the morning and 1 match that we took to 3 sets and came out on top. Being seeded 11th we will be going into the gold division for the league tournament. This means we need to keep working hard and learning when it comes to practices so we can keep getting better.

Highlights: 

More of the same from our first tournament, we are great servers! In one match we had 26 aces! Teammates that contributed to those aces were; the Sydneys, Lylah, Monica, Maya, Mele, and Natalie. 

We were able to get three touches on more balls during this tournament and as a result, we had more hits. Lylah, Sydney N, Maya, Kylie, and Teagan all got kills! Good job to Sydney S, Maya, Lylah, and Sydney N for getting those first touches up!

Monica had two blocks over the course of two matches and we had no blocking errors or nets called against us!

Our next tournament is President's Day, a three dayer! Conditioning at the end of practice is a way that I will make sure we do not get too tired during three competitive days of volleyball.  Great job to all and thank you parents for your support!
